2014 Training Course Dates Set

….. but still available, are further opportunities to gain ‘hands-on’ practical experience of working in a caravan park with PRO’s training courses plus short courses in operational activities.

Our next short course will be a two day “Introduction to RMS” to be held at the BIG4 Toowoomba Garden City Holiday Park, Toowoomba on the weekend of 22nd and 23rd February.  Two days full of reservations to be made, with check-ins/outs, client searches and booking chart navigation all being covered.  A discounted rate is available for couples wishing to attend.

The two days are jam packed with material on not only how to use RMS but also general park operational information, employment prospects etc.

We also have dates for RMS courses set for 1st and 2nd March – venue to be confirmed; 10th and 11th May – Toowoomba and 14th and 15th June – venue to be confirmed.

From March 17th – March 30th, PRO will be holding the next “practical” course in gaining hands-on experience of working in a caravan park.  The two-week’s onsite learning is both theoretical and hands-on, including management, operations, office and reception including a lot of time spent on RMS, customer service, cleaning and industry based information and legislation, even backing and parking of a van.  All experience that prospective employers are looking for.  This will be held at the 5 Star BIG4 Batemans Bay Beach Resort, south coast of NSW.  To gain a full Certificate III in Tourism, on-line theory is also required via an e-Learning system.

Please contact Natalie@promanagement.net.au to find out further details on the short course of RMS or for costs of completion of the full Certificate III in Tourism or attending the “practical” component only.

Happy Graduates from September RMS Course!

Last Conference for 2013

PRO Management was a sponsor of the Caravan Parks Association of Qld’s annual conference held in Cairns mid November.

It was a great conference and congratulations to Kristy, Angie and Richard and the team from CPAQ for all their hard work in bringing it all together.

Darren was a guest speaker and kept his audience involved with a chat about ‘celebrating’ our staff.

After a very busy year, Darren, Natalie and Joan would like to take this opportunity of wishing one and all a very happy Festive Season full of good food, good wine and lots of love and laughter.

We are looking forward to our first training course to be held in February 2014 which is fully booked. However, vacancies are still available for the March training course to be held at the BIG4 resort at Batemans Bay, NSW – why not email an enquiry through to natalie@promanagement.net.au?  “Practical component” also available – two weeks full of hands-on training in housekeeping, reception/admin – including extensive RMS work, maintenance, minimal theory and reduced cost.

See you in 2014 !!

CRVA Training Award

Well done Darren, Natalie and Joan of PRO Management who was recently presented with the Trainer of the Year award by the CRVA at their Industry Gala Dinner held  at Jupiters Gold Coast.

PRO Management was honoured with this award for their efforts in training new and existing industry staff.

The inaugural training program of PRO Management, as part of the Strategic Investment Fund as a Skills Queensland initiative came to a close with the last 5 trainees graduating from the practical component held at BIG4 Toowoomba on the 30th June.

PRO believe this training program has been incredibly successful with 100% of enrolled trainees (just under 60 in total) gaining their Certificate III in Holiday Parks and Resorts.

The trainees completed 19 theoretical units of competency as well as spending 2-3 weeks working in housekeeping, office administration, cleaning of cabins/amenities and grounds maintenance – as well as site visits to other parks and tourism properties.  PRO consider that this course has helped introduce keen and willing “potential” staff to the holiday parks industry.
